The Centre for International Business at the University of Leeds (CIBUL) is a world leading research centre located at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. CIBUL has contributed significantly to the development of international business theory and has played a critical role in the establishment of International Business as an academic discipline worldwide. It was established in 1995 with its first members Prof. Peter Buckley (OBE) (founder director) and Prof. Jeremy Clegg.

Under the directorship of Prof. Dimitrios Georgakakis, the Centre for International Business University of Leeds (CIBUL) is proud to introduce a new EIBA prize which will award the best papers of the EIBA conference regarding their interdisciplinary contribution. The prize winner will receive an award plaque together with the monetary award of £500. The two runner ups will also receive a plaque and the monetary award of £250 each.

The selection process: For each EIBA track, reviewers will nominate papers based on their contribution to international business theory and interdisciplinarity. The nominated papers will be forwarded to a committee of five academics (four members and a committee chair). The four members of the academic committee will separately evaluate each of the nominated papers based on contribution to international business and interdisciplinarity. Each committee member will suggest maximum three papers and share their suggestions and evaluation reports with the committee Chair who will eventually select the prize winner and the two runner-up papers.
